that my two pups get along so well. Raw feeding is supposed to turn these dogs into blood thirsty monsters ya know. Both girls had some initial issues with guarding their bones and meals. They are well aware that food stealing is 100% a bad idea. They can eat a very high value treat while locked in the same room. But below surprised me!
Even in the same space?
Really?
All Sunshine did was to turn around see that it was Rainy at her butt, and go back to chewing! I moved Rainy's bone right after this picture. It's nice that they get along but lets not be stupid!
Sunshine has issues guarding her bones from other dogs and Rainy has issues guarding her bones from humans. Both dogs are about 99% reliable with each other and me. Not sure I would recommend a stranger to take a bone from Rainy, but I would bet that it would go smoothly.
See how easy and calm it is to take the bones away again
Anytime I start to think about adding a third a remember that I might not want to mess up the pack dynamic right now! Whether your feeding kibble, cooked meat, or raw, it's very important to make sure no one is out of control or cheeky during meal times.
