This morning we took a 2 hour tour of the battlefield on horseback. We used Cornerstone Farm and it was so much fun! http://ridehorsesgettysburg.com/
The horses were not 'trail horses.' These were nicely trained well polished (as well as you can get with a winter coat) horses. It was awesome to see the battle field form the soldiers perspective. The ridges and landscape really make a big difference. Everything in the park is how it was during the battle except that the wooded areas weren't as filled in since the farmers kept the livestock in the woods. Left more room for crops.
In the afternoon we went to Adams Winery http://www.adamscountywinery.com/index.htm
It was interesting. I never really thought about how wine was made. I thought it would be larger since they sell so much wine. They also are very dog friendly! They have numerous kitties outside and a Golden named Rusty inside. I was surprised to have a loose dog greet us inside but he is very well mannered and took his visitors right in stride. The wine tasting room is "Rusty's room" He even takes you into his room to show you it! So cute!
Here we are in Rusty's room tasting the wine
Now we are just staying in the hotel room and are going to order out pizza for dinner. Resting up for shopping tomorrow!
