2014 Greyhounds in Gettysburg trip Part 9

The Hauser Estate Winery invited all of us greyhound folks for a tasting event.

The drive there was gorgeous.



We quickly set up camp and enjoyed the scenic view.



They even had a band playing music! Their first song got all the greyhounds singing along.

They even had ice cream!



Rainy stepped in Sunshine's ice cream. Then Rainy got her ice cream cup stuck on her tooth! Meanwhile Sunshine was trying to eat the ice cream form inside Rainy's foot. All while everyone gasped for breath! Lots of laughter. Love my crazy girls.





It was such a great trip! I'm sure next year will be even more fun!

We attending some seminars about holistic dog care. It was a bit chilly in the seminar room, but it was a great time for the girls to catch some rest.  I also need to research adding some milk thistle to their diet as a liver detox.

 

2014 Greyhounds in Gettysburg trip Part 7

During our time on Culp's Hill we heard about the story of two marksmen from PA. They kept shooting at a puff of smoke between these two boulders. It was driving them nuts that they couldn't shoot the person there. After the battle was over they went to go look at the boulder and there were multiple men piled up! They just kept shooting at different men, so they were hitting them. I got the brilliant idea of posing Sunshine in the middle. She was less than thrilled with the idea... 

A very nice lady from GreyTalk took these pictures of Sunshine posing with her super awesome camera! She even emailed me all of the copies after GIG was over. I can't even begin to describe how grateful I am. Good pictures of my babies is such a valuable thing to me . :)  I only use a camera phone for all of my shots.

After our walk in downtown Gettysburg we had to take a long nap!





Apparently people in Gettysburg are a bit confused about how trash cans work...



The next day we went on a hike/tour of Culp's Hill



It started off by climbing up this giant rock. Sunshine was so excited!
