I'm 8 years old today!!!!!!!!
I had to leave Gettysburg on mah bifday! I was so sad... But tired! We were up so late last night that I was able to get bifday witches before we even went to sleeps!
Here I am all packed into the van and ready to go home!
I was so tired I eben laid down on the car ride, but only for a little bit!
Mom's a bad picsure taker while driving
She said she needed proofs that I was resting. I ALWAYS stand up and help her navigate. Lucky she didn't get lost while I was resting.
We got home and BF was cutting the grass
We decided to take a sun baff. Mom tried to call us inside and we ignored her.
ahhh des is da life. Nice soft fresh cut grass for cushiness.
Then I gots a turkey leg for dinner! YUM!
I'm supposed to have Brusters Ice Cream on mah birfday, but my belly's a little sad. Mommy let us eat the sample kibble that we got in Gettysburg and I had runny poop this morning! Eh, it happens! Mom said if the turkey leg makes my belly better we will go get ice cream tomorrow! Yay

Saturday at Gettysburg
We missed the parade! Slept too long... We were pulling into the Vendor area just as the parade was starting, so we still made the group picture at the end. I'll have to get a copy of that picture to post here.
Afterward we went right into a seminar
A lot of the dogs were shifting around, wandering for attention, etc. Both girls laid down and quietly slept through the 2 hours of seminars that we attended.
We made sure to get there early and tuck the girls away in a corner so the other dogs wouldn't bother them. Can't expect them to behave if I let the other dogs harass them. The second seminar was about the galgos over in England. :( It wasn't as bad as I thought although I didn't see the pictures that were up front. Those poor babies need lots of help over there.
Later that night we went back down for another 1863 social.
Rainy will lay anywhere and sleep!
Sunshine loves the corners I find to tuck her into.
3 days in and Toby is tired enough to lay down and go with the flow. He really learned a lot at his first GIG trip!

Friday at Gettysburg
BF went golfing at 0 dark thirty, while the girls and I slept in. We made it over to the outlet store around 11 am just in time to go return some earlier purchases and shop a bit more. Bath and Body works had a 75% off island, which made the smelly good lotion $3 and the body spray $2! Just my kind of sale.
We registered then bought new LongDog leather collars asap before that store got crowded.
Then we purchased some giant bully sticks, a cute wooden greyhound wall decoration, a greyhound coat for me, 2 greyhound hand painted flower pots (I broke one before we even made it back to the hotel room)
Overall I didn't spent that much at the vendors... I kept it under $300. :) The outlets were the dangerous ones for me this time.
Friday night we went down to the social room at the 1863 and we drank and had fun with friends

Rainy was so tired that she let her friend Miss Gracie touch her while sleeping
Sunshine wouldn't close her eyes until she had a blankie on (really just my hoodie) As soon as BF put that on her those eyes snapped shut and she let out a huge sigh.

Soooo tired!
Mommy and bf went to dinner, so I decided to just take a taste to see what was in the trash can. Inconsiderate humans has the can on the counter in the bathroom.
Took some effort, but I was able to see what was in there! I'm talented like that. I finished up and couldn't leave! The bathroom door was closed and I was locked in.
I didn't even have a cushy bed! So I got inventive and ripped apart the dirty close bag. It took forever to chew through! I was able to get a cushy bed though.
After the humans came home they let me out and I jumped on the bed and whined for 5 minutes to tell them all about it.
I'm so smart!

Thursday in Gettysburg
We woke up and went to the outlets to do a whole lotta shopping! Sunshine shook in the first store, then got braver as we went along. She even went into a store by herself while Rainy went elsewhere with BF!
Sunshine was exhausted after a few hours!
Then our friends Toby and Shaina arrived and we all went to dinner a the Pike Restaurant. It was 50 cent wing night! Yum!
This was Toby's first ever restaurant experience. He's a huge puppyhead so I think he did very well. He was segregated to the other side of the table with BF since he was a bit too overstimulated with the other dogs AND the food. We thought he would never lay down!

Rainy was a good customer as usual and slept most of the time. She was the first to lay down and kept getting stepped on by the other pups.
I had to block Sunshine in with my chair and leg to make her feel safe enough to lay down and sleep. Can't risk those scary strangers sneaking up on her!

Hoping someone takes pity on him and rescues him from the big mean man who is telling him he has to have these things called manners??
