December Blog Challenge… Dry Erase Boards

I almost didn't get this post done! It's been a crazy productive day.  Today I made dry erase boards for cute little Christmas gifts. I was amazed at how easy they were to make!

Items you need are clear tape, a picture frame, velcro with a sticky backing, dry erase marker, and some form of colored paper. I used a really cute wrapping paper that I found. You can easily swap out the paper whenever you want a new background.

Step 1 : Tape the picture frame apart and wrap the back in the colored paper. Use the clear tape to secure the paper. Put the picture frame back together

Step 2: Attach the dry erase marker to the frame with a teeny tiny bit of velcro. I made sure the rough part of the velcro stuck to the frame so the soft part would be on the marker. That way it won't stab your fingers while you write.

You can easily write and wipe it away with a tissue.

It can stand up using the picture frame back

I used four command poster strips to hang this on on the wall.

Adorable and functional! Our townhouse is pretty small, so I try to hang as many functional things on the wall as possible. It helps the house feel larger.
