Rainy's Progress

Rainy has been doing awesome on her thyroid medicine. She's pretty darn good in the car and hasn't been reacting to other normal noises. We decided it was time to start a fire and see how she reacted...

I dosed her with 2mg of xanax as a 'just in case' even though the xanax didn't help her previously with the fire. Then we put on her braveness collar.

I lit the fire and Rainy did this!

Fire? What Fire?

Yup she was real concerned. No barking, howling, darting around, or hiding. She wasn't comfy enough to lay in the living room with the fire, but she quietly crashed it on her side in the dining room. Never once tried to run upstairs and start howling. I'm so proud of my brave pup!

We have a vet appointment on Feb 2nd to see what her T4 is at. She's taking .9mg of Soloxine twice a day and it's been an instant fix. I'm kicking myself for not insisting on trying this 16 months ago... feel like a bad mom. :-(

  1. I see she has a calming collar, too. Got one for Tara in the vehicle.

  2. not sure it does anything... But it matches and it can't hurt!

  3. I'm not sure if Tara's helps or not yet either. She's worn it to NY and back and to PA and back.
