Day ten
We skipped yesterday since it was Christmas and we were gone all day. When we came home to feed the pups Rainy ran into a wall and has a nice slice under her eye. So we stopped the xanax...
Today I took some venison or to the running van and she was way too stressed to be interested. Panting drooling heart thumping... The whole 9 yards. We stayed out there for 25 minutes of her laying down with zero improvement. She also spent the whole day up in the bedroom... To nervous to come down and socialize.
Clearly we need the xanax but it makes her so uncoordinated and shaky. I just don't know what to do right now...
Poor puppers! They look so elegant, but they are such doofus clutzballs!
ReplyDeleteJess, I can't recall, have you tried St Johns wort drops for her to calm her? It helped Candy. And no coordination side effects.
ReplyDeletepoor sweet girl.......... maybe a specialist at VSCD could help?
ReplyDeletewe haven't tried the st John's wart drops... I'll add that to my Amazon list. I just started her on l-theanine and am really hoping it helps
ReplyDeleteSarah if I can help her with a few more tweaks we are off to the U of Penn. Not sure if the VSCD has a behaviorist on staff... I'll call and ask if we get to that point. Right now it's just a guessing game on which did to try and we are running out of options
ReplyDeleteJess, what upsets her?
ReplyDeleteStorms? Pressure changes in the air? ANy ideas?
ReplyDeletecar, vibrations of the running car, any popping noise including cooking bacon, people touching her, the foster dog, going up stairs, going down stairs, I could go on.This is my normal dog! What the hell
ReplyDeleteTHyroid normal???
ReplyDeletewe ran a full panel three weeks ago. oddly enough she was stalking me for her peanut butter spoon this morning. She hasn't done that in a bit.
