FlyGrip review

Since the cell phone world is rapidly moving to the bigger screens (which I LOVE) It's getting easier and easier to drop your devices and the bigger screens are easier to crack. I have a well established habit of dropping everything. In fact I just shattered a plate last night in the kitchen...

So after getting the Note 2 that I am in love with I began looking for ways to protect it. Cases just added too much bulk to an already bordering on too big phone. The protective wraps were great against scratches but do nothing for dropping issues. So my only option was to keep it in a leather pouch case and NEVER hold the phone or use it while walking. In my multitasking world this is not feasible.

Then I saw the FlyGrip online http://shop.flygrip.com/

A little pricey at $30 but I had a free shipping code and it comes with a free case.  So I took the plunge and got a green one :)  Then started watching every youtube video review I could find while waiting for my new toy. Everyone should watch the videos they are very helpful!

I put my flygrip on the phone last night. First attempt it was a little uneven, so I had to pry it back off with a butter knife and was able to easily replace it correctly. I have it down low on the phone a tiny bit above the speaker.

First time I put my fingers in it I HATED IT! I grumbled and passed it around the living room so everyone else could try it. They all grumbled about it... I put it on the second time and it was less uncomfortable. Then I went to bed and was reading emails while using it and I kind of started liking it. This morning I LOVE IT.

Fast turn around of feelings!  At first I was trying to put my fingers in too far and couldn't move my thumb around on the device. I think it might be a bit better if I put it more towards the center of the device instead of the bottom. I got a large because I have big fat fingers and I think the large is too big. I should have gone with a medium, even though the penny test pointed towards a large.

Hopefully I'll keep falling in love with this thing. It is thinner than I expected and the phone even still fits in my leather pouch case belt thing.
